Graduate Diploma of Home Economics Education

This course is designed to provide qualified teachers with a formal qualification and the advanced pedagogical knowledge and management skills to provide effective teaching of home economics subjects at a range of levels in secondary schools. The course addresses the continuing shortfall of suitably qualified home economics teachers nationwide.

It provides practical teaching skills that will enable a graduate to effectively plan, teach and assess home economics subjects from the Australian Curriculum specifically drawn from the Health & Physical Education and Design & Technologies learning areas and related senior (year 11 and 12) secondary education subjects.
