Here is what the Certificate I in Skills for Education and Training Pathways qualification offered by TAFE Queensland covers and who it is designed for.
The Certificate I in Skills for Education and Training Pathways is intended to further develop Provide participants with opportunities to practice, communication and/or numeracy skills which enable progression to a meaningful learning pathway. It is based on learner interests, needs and aspirations across different aspects of life – personal, community, work, and training or education. It meets the needs of learners who are beginning to apply communication and/or numeracy skills at Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) Level 2, but who may have limited experience in formal learning environments. It allows the learner to begin to apply language, literacy and numeracy and digital technology skills within training or work contexts.
Learners at this level will require support to develop underpinning skills and knowledge to progress to higher level language, literacy and numeracy units and qualifications and/or vocational pathway courses
