Certificate IV in Firearms

This qualification is designed to provide participants with general and technical skills to work in specialised functions within the firearms industry.

The qualification includes knowledge and skills which are essential to ensuring public safety, including working within a complex legislative framework, making ethical decisions, managing risks, demonstrating proficiency with firearms A broad range of specialist competencies for key roles within the industry.

Specialist firearms personnel working at this level will apply knowledge and skills working autonomously in a broad range of contexts And be responsible for the induction, training and supervision of others with varying degrees of competence.

This qualification may be delivered using any type or category of firearm which is authorised under the firearms legislation in the State/Territory where the training and assessment is being conducted.
