About this qualification
The focus is on producing a complementary medicine generalist that understands and works well with other health professionals. The graduate will be able to perform and integrated analysis of a health or wellbeing issue using a Complementary Medicine and/or Western Medicine diagnostic process. The Complementary Medicine analysis process combines insights from Chinese Medicine diagnosis and constitutions, nutrition and diet, orthopaedic and structural assessments, and kinesiology. This integrated approach is the basis of an expansive mind-body assessment, with the focus being on understanding and changing the lifestyle and psychological factors that are inhibiting health and wellbeing.
