Certificate IV in Leadership and Innovation Dementia Services

This course reflects the role of health and aged care professionals working with people living with dementia.

It will focus on the leadership skills required to implement positive change in the workplace and improve the care for people living with dementia. Following a multi-disciplinary team approach, the course will cover contemporary care practices that will lead to better care planning and improved outcomes for clients.

Participants will learn how to apply risk identification strategies, become familiar with organisational policies and protocols Understand the importance of accurate documentation through recording, reporting and managing information.

Participants will gain the skills required to undertake environmental assessments in a number of different care settings, develop communication and relationship building skills, understand culture change possibilities and apply critical reflective practices to ensure continuous improvement.
