About this qualification

This course is designed to prepare individuals for a range of entry-level Christian ministry roles. It is also designed to equip employees in Christian organisations, not-for-profit or service contexts with an understanding of the beliefs and values that guide Christian education, health, social services, childcare or aged care so that they are able to work effectively in these sectors. Workers in these contexts are required to align their work with the vision, values and expected practices of the organisation and to operate within an ethical and moral framework.

The course will provide participants with:

* basic knowledge of core Christian beliefs and practices;

* an understanding of the relevance and application of these beliefs and practices to a specific context;

* skills to interpret, apply and communicate Christian beliefs and practices at an introductory level;

* opportunities for personal ethical formation; and

* foundational skills for work or further vocational training.
