About this qualification
This course is designed to develop skills to use an Aboriginal Language in both oral and written forms, underpinned by knowledge of Culture. This course will provide participants with a range of knowledge and skills to use an Aboriginal Language in Community contexts. Graduates will be able to use an Aboriginal Language to meet the requirements of their own further study needs. They will be able to listen to and comprehend an Aboriginal Language and read and write using the agreed spelling of the Aboriginal Language. They will also have developed learning and digital literacy skills.
Graduates will be able to apply their knowledge of the Aboriginal Language to a broad range of routine Community activities, such as reading and writing stories or songs and delivering Acknowledgement or Welcome to Country.
