Course in Community Justice Services (Commissioner for Declarations)

This course is intended to provide participants with the ability to apply to become Queensland Commissioners for Declarations (Cdec) performing the duties appropriate to their level of appointment. Duties would include witnessing signatures on a wide range of documents and certifying copies of documents.

This is a voluntary role with the Justices of the Peace and Commissioners for Declarations Act 1991 stating ‘a justice of the peace or commissioner for declarations is not to seek or receive, directly or indirectly, any reward in connection with the performance of the functions of office.
