About this qualification
Configuration management is the process of organising and maintaining a system's settings, software, and hardware in a consistent way. It ensures that all parts of a system are correctly configured and updated so they work together smoothly. This helps prevent errors, improves reliability, and makes it easier to manage changes over time.
This course is designed to provide graduates with the skills and knowledge to manage the full scope of functions of configuration management, including developing and implementing configuration management plans, managing configuration identification, leading configuration change management, managing configuration status accounting and leading and managing configuration verifications and audits.
While the occupation outcomes of this course align to the occupation description for ANZSCO 139999 Specialist Managers nec on the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) website, the AQF level of the qualification does not align to the Skill Level assigned to this occupation by the ABS.
