About this qualification
This course reflects the role of individuals who work in compliance and risk management functions within a broad range of industries, including financial services, banking, superannuation, insurance, government, education, utilities and other regulated environments.
Graduates will develop the skills and knowledge required to support compliance and risk management activities, including assessing compliance obligations, monitoring adherence to regulatory and organisational requirements, undertaking compliance audits, responding to non-compliance Applying risk management principles to their own work.
Delivery and assessment are designed to be applied and workplace-relevant, using a combination of online, virtual and self-paced learning modes supported by workplace-based or simulated assessment environments, consistent with the requirements of the units of competency.
The course aligns with contemporary compliance and risk management practice, including principles reflected in recognised standards such as ISO 37301 (Compliance Management Systems) and ISO 31000 (Risk Management), while remaining vocational and accessible at Certificate IV level.
This qualification does not result in a graduate being qualified as one of the occupations listed in the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) or with the Australian Qualifications Framework Skill Level for occupation ANZSCO code 139917 Regulatory Affairs Manager.
