About this qualification
This course equips graduates with the specialized technical and managerial skills required to lead data centre operations in a high-stakes regulatory environment. Graduates will be prepared for Facilities Manager roles, ensuring operational sustainability and Tier-level availability across critical infrastructure, including power distribution, heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) Fire suppression systems. The curriculum covers the development and implementation of a Critical Infrastructure Risk Management Program (CIRMP). Graduates will learn to navigate Critical Infrastructure Security Centre (CISC) and the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) regulatory requirements by adopting an all-hazards approach to mitigate material risks across cyber, physical, personnel Supply chain vectors.
By mastering these governance frameworks and technical optimizations, graduates will be capable of maximizing both operational resilience and Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE). To achieve this qualification, the individual must have completed a minimum of 240 hours of work placement.
