Your Career

On completion of this degree students will be able to demonstrate a substantial understanding of archaeology as it is practised globally and possess a detailed knowledge of the theoretical and methodological aspects of archaeology in relation to the historical establishment of the discipline worldwide. Students will be able to apply problem solving skills in a range of archaeological contexts Possess the ability to assess how material culture can provide an additional source of data to improve knowledge about human behavioural variability in past and contemporary societies.

This degree prepares graduates for a professional career in archaeology and/or related areas, making graduates suitable for jobs throughout the globe in research, policy development, consulting, laboratory research, hands-on surveying Excavation. Potential occupations may include archaeologist, assistant curator and cultural heritage officer; potential employers may include independent archaeological consultants, heritage agencies and museums.
