Bachelor of Environmental Science (Honours)

Environmental science is a practical and multi-disciplinary science that spans the biophysical, geochemical and social sciences and focuses on the interaction between the living and non-living elements of the world, including the role of human impacts.  These include climate change, biodiversity, water quality, resource management, waste and pollution and environmental protection and conservation.

What impact do humans have on the interaction between the living and non-living elements of the world? How do we solve the environmental issues our future societies face? On completion, you will be able to answer these questions and more as you develop the skills to meet the needs of tomorrow's employers.

You will learn core fundamentals in the first year of your degree before deciding which major discipline to focus on from the second year. You will participate in practical classes in our purpose- built Sciences Teaching Facility and be exposed to honours-level content integrated throughout the course as you explore topics such as climate change, biodiversity and more.
