Bachelor of Football (Dev Mgt & Performance)

The Bachelor of Football (Development, Management and Performance) prepares students with the skills, knowledge and understanding to prepare them for a diverse range of future career paths in the football industry.

Students explore a range of football codes (eg, soccer, rugby league, rugby union, AFL, rugby 7s, wheelchair rugby, futsal, touch football) to learn how these global sports deliver exemplary practice in contexts such as coaching, community and participation, inclusion, management and leadership, sports science High-performance.

Designed in collaboration with the football industry, classes are taught by industry experts and revolve around real-life case studies of football professionals, clubs, and organisations. Work-integrated learning placements are a key aspect of this course and students will experience a minimum of 260 hours of placements in football environments.

The course is designed to be flexible and can be studied through a combination of on-campus, online, and blended delivery.  One unit in Year 1 and one unit in Year 2 includes a mandatory 2-day visit to the campus. The final year of the course has been designed so it can be studied while completing a domestic or international placement, subject to quota and visa requirements.

Students are assessed through real-world activities and through a combination of practical and theory-based tasks.
