In our Bachelor of Human Movement, you'll gain the knowledge and skills to help people of all ages live healthier, more active lives. Study human anatomy and physiology, exercise physiology, biomechanics and motor control, learning and development. Choose from two majors to specialise your career pathway: Human Nutrition, where you'll learn to provide general nutrition advice and support to improve health and prevent illness Or Sport Coaching, where you'll develop the coaching and leadership skills to foster inclusion and drive sporting performance at all levels, from beginners to elite athletes.

What you'll learn
Our Bachelor of Human Movement teaches you evidence-based, sustainable and culturally informed approaches to improving human health and wellbeing. You'll explore how and why people move - and the factors that limit and enhance their capacity to do so.
The degree is delivered in a multimodal format, with lectures, tutorials, workshops, practical classes and simulated learning experiences.
Across the program, you'll build research skills for health-related contexts, and develop communication, teamwork, data analysis and critical thinking skills through experiential activities. Core subjects include human anatomy and physiology, physical activity and health, exercise physiology, biomechanics, group and team leadership, and motor control, learning and development across the lifespan.
Your chosen major shapes your specialisation: the Human Nutrition major delves into nutritional science, the role of nutrition in preventing and managing chronic disease, lifespan nutrition, culinary nutrition, public health and community nutrition Nutrition assessment and behaviour change. The Sport Coaching major builds your expertise in sport analysis and contemporary coaching techniques to develop skilled players at all levels - from beginners to elite athletes - advanced exercise physiology, performance analysis and player monitoring, sport psychology Sport governance and management.
Your degree will culminate with a capstone hands-on industry experience authentic to your specialised major through a Human Movement Practicum.

The Bachelor of Human Movement is also available as an integrated double degree with a Master of Teaching (Secondary) to become a Secondary Health and Physical Education teacher with specialisation in a second learning area, broadening your expertise and employability across secondary schools.
