Applicants who have a completed a Diploma of Nursing (HLT54115 or HLT54121) within the last five years (from 2021 onwards), including a Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003 or HLTAID011) Hold current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an enrolled nurse are welcome to apply for this accelerated program and gain admission to the second year of the Bachelor of Nursing. Applicants who meet these criteria are eligible for 80 units of credit (eight courses) and can successfully complete the degree in two calendar years.

Hospital-trained enrolled nurses are not eligible for admission into the accelerated program. Applicants with any other related qualification should apply for the standard Bachelor of Nursing and apply for credit approval.

Applicants should note that each campus location has a unique UAC code for where students will undertake their on-campus studies. Those wishing to undertake the degree need to include the UAC code on their UAC application that matches the campus location for where they wish to study. Offers are made to a particular campus and are non-transferrable.

Once you are admitted, you must hold a current:

  • Provide First Aid Certificate HLTAID011
  • Mental Health First Aid Certificate

Note: The Bachelor of Nursing works on an extended academic year, with Professional Experience Placement generally commencing in mid-January and concluding early/mid-December.
