Bachelor of Nursing (Enrolled Nurses-Dip Nursing Entry)

Registered Nurses play a critical role in the healthcare system and are involved in a range of activities that are designed to provide care for people with acute, chronic and complex health conditions. Registered nurses are integral in the treatment of people, families, communities and populations.

You will have opportunities to apply theory to practice in modern simulated supported learning environments, prior to undertaking workplace experience. During the course you will attend 17 weeks of workplace experience in hospitals, aged care, and community facilities. This will immerse you in the field of nursing where you will care for people, putting into practice what you have learned during your on-campus classes.

The Bachelor of Nursing will assist you to evaluate concepts drawn from nursing theory and research and apply them to professional practice. You will develop an increased awareness of the cultural, social, economic, legal and ethical influences on the development of nursing knowledge and practice that will help you to become a transformative registered nurse.

Applicants who have completed a Diploma of Nursing (HLT54115 or HLT54121) within the last 10 years and hold current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse are welcome to apply for this course and gain admission to the second year of the Bachelor of Nursing.

Applicants with other nursing diplomas or related qualification/s should apply for the Bachelor of Nursing and seek credit for subjects already completed.
