About this qualification
The Bachelor of Technology (Engineering) develops the knowledge, skills and competencies required for graduates to work as an Engineering Technologist. Many types of engineering jobs require commissioning, testing, operation and maintenance of infrastructure and systems. These jobs are well-suited to a Bachelor of Technology graduate.
In addition, students enrolled in this program may opt to upgrade their qualifications from Engineering Technologist to Professional Engineer by either (i) articulating to a Bachelor of Engineering after one or two years of study with full credit for their completed units, or, (ii) completing the Bachelor of Technology and then undertaking a further 1.5 years in a relevant Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) program, or, studying a Master of Engineering which is 2 years in duration.
