Diploma in Social and Human Services

The Diploma in Social and Human Services will help you understand and analyse the world around you, as you develop practical solutions to create positive change. You will receive embedded support from the Pathways and Academic Learning Support Centre, including access to a dedicated Student Liaison Officer, a quiet workspace for independent study Smaller class sizes in your foundational courses. When you study a Diploma with the University of Newcastle, the supported Pathways courses are free. The Diploma in Social and Human Services provides a level 5 diploma qualification and offers a pathway to degrees at the University of Newcastle.

Upon completion you can receive guaranteed entry into the Bachelor of Social Science and other programs through the Guaranteed Entry Admission Scheme.
