Diploma of Film and Television

As an introduction to the fundamentals of film and TV, the Diploma of Film and Television Production will let you explore cinematography, editing, lighting, location, sound recording, sound design, screenwriting and production management, providing you with the introductory knowledge and skills to move into entry level roles with the film and TV industry. Gain hands-on skills and professional insights crewing on an industry production and even produce your own documentary.

We take film and TV seriously at JMC, with studios full of the best tech in the trade. You’ll have access to our brand-new on-campus film and TV studio fitted out with highly sophisticated equipment, including Blackmagic Design Ursa Broadcast G2 cameras, and a green-screen. Additionally on our new Melbourne campus, you will access JMC’s editing suites, colour grading room including powerful iMac Pros and Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve, a cinema/theatre fitted with 5.1 surround sound and full student loan facilities with lenses, cameras, lights and sound equipment available.
