About this qualification

This course will provide students with an understanding of the fundamentals of civil engineering and prepare graduates for entry into the Associate Degree of Civil Engineering (HED001). In this course students receive an introduction to engineering mathematics, 2D CAD modelling, as well as civil design and drafting. Students will learn how to use mathematical operations to solve engineering problems, develop an understanding of one of the most commonly used drafting packages in the civil design industry Be introduced to the fundamental elements of a broad range of engineering disciplines including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and hydraulic.

Successful completion of this course will provide graduates with a guaranteed direct entry pathway into the Associate Degree in Civil Engineering (HED001) with full credit transfer of all successfully completed units.
