About this skill set
This skill set reflects the skill requirements for support workers providing services to clients with alcohol and other drugs issues. This skill set has been endorsed by industry as suitable for individuals who: • hold a qualification at Certificate III level or higher in Community Services, Health or related field or • have skills equivalent to the qualification requirement validated through a recognition of prior learning process or • have substantial industry experience, on the job training and development along with supervisor assessment of capacity Units CHCAOD001 Work in an alcohol and other drugs context CHCAOD004 Assess needs of clients with alcohol and other drugs issues CHCAOD006 Provide interventions for people with alcohol and other drugs issues CHCAOD009 Develop and review individual alcohol and other drugs treatment plans
