About this skill set
This skill set reflects the skill requirements for support workers providing services to clients with co-existing needs, including both mental health and alcohol and other drugs issues. This skill set has been endorsed by industry as suitable for individuals who: • hold a qualification at Certificate IV level or higher in alcohol and other drugs, mental health or related field or • have skills equivalent to the qualification requirement validated through a recognition of prior learning process or • have substantial industry experience, on the job training and development along with supervisor assessment of capacity.
