In this subject you will analyse the role of key health promotion principles: ethics, social justice, human rights, community empowerment and participation, and advocacy when developing, implementing, and evaluating health promotion strategies in controversial contexts or with marginalised populations. This subject will assist you to develop critical health promotion skills through exploring potentially contentious health issues such as prisoner health, migrant and refugee health, mental health, alcohol and other drugs, and gender and health.
