About this subject
This course provides students with a framework for critical understanding the contextual, strategic and operational issues of export management. It covers the operational aspects of international trading and enhance students' ability to apply integrated discipline knowledge to formulate an export plan and to deal with practical challenges such as exporting documentation, payment methods, financing options and legal considerations. As a result, students' employability in the field of international business will be greatly improved. Whenever applicable, industry engagement, such as a field trip to the Port of Brisbane, company visit, and guest presentation will be incorporated in the course to offer students opportunities to understand the dynamic nature of international trade. Prerequisite: Students must have successfully completed 80 credit points prior to enrolment. Students should not enrol in this subject if they have previously completed 2011IBA Export Management at Griffith University.
