The purpose of the subject is to enable you to apply theoretical knowledge to practice, and to consolidate learning from previous professional practice placements. You will undertake 240 hours of placement and complete a range of academic assessments. Regular contact with University supervisors is maintained during placements via telephone, email and on-site visits. As this is a course capstone placement subject, it must be completed by all students. No advanced standing is available. To meet professional competency requirements students must pass both the professional placement and academic components of the subject. Recommended for students who have completed all first- and second-year subjects in the Bachelor of Health Information Management.
