About this subject
We live in an increasingly integrated world, with international trade critical to daily life. The International Trade: Strategies and Opportunities course introduces the global framework, entities and agreements that contribute to global trade, as well as how organisations can identify opportunities develop appropriate international trade strategies. The course covers new opportunities in international trade that the World Trade Organization rules for Regional Trade Agreements afford. You will explore negotiating modalities and techniques; the politics of trade negotiations; how to understand statistics and other trade information; and how these agreements affect the movement of people. The course also covers the practical aspects of international trade and how organisations can practically prepare for entering export markets; partnership possibilities in international trade; and the assistance available in exporting and developing new markets. The course explores many of the key issues associated with international trade with a focus on competition policy, foreign direct investment and investment agreements and dispute settlement.
