Continuing on from the first trimester intermediate Japanese language subject, in this subject you will develop intermediate-level communicative competence in Japanese. You will enhance your intermediate listening and speaking skills in Japanese and your intermediate skills in reading and writing Japanese. You’ll consolidate previously studied 280-300 kanji, and learn an additional 120-130 new kanji characters. You will gain an awareness of some aspects of Japanese society and culture relevant to intercultural communication at an intermediate level and you will create language learning strategies that you can employ as you progress.
