Globally, case management is used in relation to a broad range of people. For example, case managers may work specifically with youth at risk, sexual offenders, victims of family violence, people with addiction, homeless people, released prisoners etc. You will learn about the different risk-assessment, decision-making, referral tools that are used in case management and apply these tools to assessment tasks whilst being guided by the theory, principles, legislation and policies that are employed for case management in Victoria. Additionally, you will gain important skills in relation to communication, client assessment and the creation of case management plans in alignment with best practices.
