This subject focuses on the development of a range of effective pedagogies with particular emphasis on consideration of integrated curriculum principles. Students will continue to develop a deep understanding of the Number and Algebra strand of the Australian Curriculum: Mathematics. Topics include effective teaching and assessment of primary mathematics and planning mathematics teaching and learning. Curriculum content focuses on understanding operations, computational choices and number patterns. As well, there is a focus on strategies for mathematics working in a differentiated learning environment, including the use of tasks that suit a diversity of learners, with a particular focus on Indigenous learners.
