This allows you to engage in approved tasks designed to achieve specific learning objectives relating to continuous and life-long learning in a service-teaching mode. The aim of the subject is to provide you with an opportunity to interpret and apply theoretical concepts, in a supervised setting, to expand relevant skills, knowledge and attitudes. Your placement could include projects and activities in a wide range of programs and services, including mental health, disability, multicultural health, aged care, LGBTIQ health, Indigenous health, homelessness and housing, and refugee health. The seminar series accompanying the placement will orient you to professional and practical considerations of a work environment and allow you to gain a broad perspective about potential employment possibilities.
