Social psychology is the scientific investigation of how social contexts shape our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. In this subject, your introductory psychology knowledge will be extended as you explore the theories that underpin the field of social psychology, informed by an evidence-based approach. Studying this subject, you will explore a range of current topics in social psychology including social cognition, social perception, the self, justification, conformity, attitudes and attitude change, group behaviour, prejudice, and cultural competence. You will also learn how social psychology can be applied to real-world problems.
