Students are required to undertake research and present findings on specific topics relevant to management in the maritime and logistics sector. This subject builds students’ skills of surveying literature and research communication. It firstly requires students to review and evaluate the literature in logistics and maritime management relevant to their research topic to understand what is already researched and to justify their research questions and methods. Secondly, students are required to expose to up to date research presentations by attending research seminars hosted by AMC and other faculties within the University. Seminars related to their discipline areas should be prioritised. Students are able to develop their research communication skills by engaging with and evaluating those research presentations that will help the presentation of research proposal for their dissertation project. This subject paves the way for students to work on Honours dissertation subjects (TAS-JNB418, TAS-JNB419, TAS-JNB420 and TAS-JNB421) of Bachelor of Global Logistics and Maritime Management with Honours.
