It explores the history and development of the learning area, inquiry approaches to teaching, learning and assessment and integration of HASS in the primary school years. Students are asked to critically reflect on their approaches to teaching HASS, to engage with local First Peoples histories and cultures and to identify meaningful ways to teach these in the HASS learning environment. Students will plan for HASS inquiry and programming, including resource selection and appropriate differentiation.
