About this qualification

This combined degree enables you to follow your interests and aspirations whilst enhancing your career prospects by concurrently undertaking two different but complementary areas of study. You will complete qualifications in both Accounting and International Relations and Political Science with a combined study plan to reduce the overall duration of the course. The Bachelor of Accounting has a particular focus on application of accounting knowledge, competencies and capabilities to diverse and global commercial business/organisational contexts.

Whereas the Bachelor of International Relations and Political Science aims to provide students with a comprehensive grounding in the core political science disciplines of international relations, politics and public policy and an understanding of Australia's political system and its place within the regional and global context.

Bachelor of Accounting

The Bachelor of Accounting is a future-focused, industry-informed degree designed to prepare the next generation of accounting professionals for success in a rapidly evolving global business environment. Upon completion, students will be able to critically apply broad theoretical and technical accounting, finance, economic and management knowledge and skills to inform financial control and budgeting and analyse accounting practices and decisions using theoretical and technical knowledge of regulatory, governance, compliance and legal requirements. The degree prepares graduates for a career in a range of public and private sectors in Australia and internationally. Potential occupations may include accountant, consultant and analyst; potential employers may include accounting firms, financial management firms and government departments.

Bachelor of International Relations and Political Science
