Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Medicine/Master of Pharmacy

This new and innovative 5-year combined Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Medicine/ Master of Pharmacy will prepare you for a career as a clinical pharmacist, the pharmaceutical industry or to contribute more broadly across the health system including health policy and logistics. The bachelor degree will focus on foundational and pharmaceutical sciences and the master degree on advanced pharmacotherapeutics, pharmacy practice and management. You will study and train in simulations and clinical placements with peers in other UNSW health programs, as practical skills and interprofessional training are features of these programs.

This combined degree program, will provide you with a strong foundation for entry into the pharmacy profession, the pharmaceutical industry and other healthcare roles and will allow you to tailor your studies to take up emerging roles for pharmacy graduates and pharmacists including in general practice and aged care.

This degree has an embedded professional practice stream, where you’ll study with students from our dietetics, exercise physiology and physiotherapy programs. You’ll gain an understanding of how different teams work together to improve patient outcomes, such as how and when to refer a client to another health professional.
