Study Innovative Foods (Food Science) at Western Sydney University and prepare for a journey of discovery.

This program will equip you to lead the development of new, safe, healthy, and sustainable foods. You will gain a solid foundation in biological and chemical sciences, providing you with the applied knowledge and skills necessary for a career in the food industry, one of the world's largest business sectors.

You can also choose to major in Human Nutrition, delving into food and nutrient concepts related to human metabolism and physiology, as well as the management of nutrients in relation to appetite, exercise, health Disease. Additionally, you will develop a wide range of laboratory and research skills.  

Our program has strong connections with industry and the community, offering access to modern sensory, food processing pilot plant, and kitchen facilities at Hawkesbury Campus. You'll also have the opportunity to undertake work placements and research alongside our experienced staff.
