Beginning with the key 18th century novels of Lewis and Radcliffe and ending with various 21st century incarnations of the gothic, you will explore the way in which key elements and conventions of the gothic (such as the uncanny, the vampire and the zombie, masculine and feminine gothic, and the monstrous) develop over the history of the genre.
